Bio

I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA in 1974. My mother is American and my father is Lebanese. In 1975 my family moved to Glyfada, near Athens, Greece, where my sister was born. In 1979 we moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and in 1984 we moved to London, England.

I moved back to the states in 1992 to attend Brown University, where I graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Neuroscience. I intended to study medicine, but decided not to go to Medical School.

Instead, I moved to Paris, France, and then to London again at the beginning of 1997. I worked in a bar above the ‘Goat in Boots’ Pub on Fulham Road and then I worked briefly for General Motors as ‘knowledge manager.’ After quitting General Motors, I was introduced to Jeffery Camp, RA, with whom I began studying art.

Under the instruction of Jeffery Camp, I began to draw intensively. I continued working under Jeffery’s guidance until 2001. In that time I had completed many large scale drawings and paintings. I also completed the London Drawing Classes site.

At that time, I stopped working with Jeffery Camp and wrote a short novel, called Oakford’s Ramus which is about disillusionment. I then continued onto playwrighting, writing and producing a short comedy, Good Luck, and a short-listed drama Ambit and Twos. I continued into Stand up Comedy, performing three shows at the Comedy Café, The Comedy Store, and a pub near Leicester square.

During this time I taught life drawing at LSE. I also began working as a computer consultant, forming two companies Mac Doctor and Visskiss Virtual. I also taught Photoshop for artists at Central St. Martins college of art.

I returned to painting in 2004 and re-acquired my studio in Battersea in 2005.

In 2006 I produced a series of landscapes in France, leading to a Solo Exhibition in St. Cézaire in August 2006.

I began attending print-making courses at Kensington and Chelsea College in January 2007, culminating in a a successful entry to Royal Academy Summer Show 2007 (Work number 243).

I moved to Marseille, France, on March 23rd 2008.

I am particularly interested in finding an entrepreneurial dealer to show my work.
